How Broadside works
Four toy galleons trade cannon fire around three islands and the last ship afloat pays 3.8x. Hull, fire, the bell rule and the three Drops.
Broadside is a sea battle between four pirate galleons: "Four ships. Last afloat." Back the ship that's still floating at the end and your pick pays 3.8x, stake included, so 100 comes back as 380.

How a battle plays
Four toy galleons circle three islands and fire ripple volleys, three guns a side. A battle typically lasts about 32 seconds. Every ship starts with 100 hull, and each cannonball that hits takes 6. Cannonballs arc over the islands, so there's no hiding behind one.
The captains have jobs. Two hunt the weakest ship and go after ships on fire, and two chase whichever ship is leading. Which galleon gets which captain, and where it starts, comes from the round's seed, so all four start at 1 in 4.
A ship below 35 hull catches fire. Fire eats hull down to 8 but can't sink a ship by itself; only a cannonball does that. A crew on fire also reloads faster, so a wrecked ship can still turn a battle.
How the winner is decided
The last ship afloat wins. If more than one is still afloat at the 45-second bell:
- The ship with the most hull wins, and the result says "Most hull at the bell".
- Level on hull goes to the ship that dealt more damage, and the result says "Level on hull, more damage dealt".
- An exact tie on both is void, and every pick is refunded.
If every ship still afloat would sink at the same moment, the one that dealt the most damage stays up with 1 hull.
Drops in Broadside
| Drop | Kind | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Tailwind | Speed | For 3 s, the ship sails 40% faster and turns sharper, and its guns reload at once and then faster. |
| Patch | Shield | Adds 25 hull, up to 100, and halves damage for 3 s. If that brings hull back to 35 or more, the fire goes out. |
| Kraken | Chaos | 20 damage, or 10 on a Patched ship, and the ship spins off course for 2 s with its guns silent. |
A Kraken never takes a ship below 5 hull, so it can't sink one on its own. The server picks which Drop you get and which ship it hits. Prices and limits are on how Drops work.
What the scoreboard shows
The strip across the top has one chip per ship with its hull out of 100, and "Sunk" once it goes down. The leader wears the crown.
