Loading and sound

Basement couldn't reach its server to set up your account. Check your connection and tap the button to try again. Your pick wasn't placed. On a computer the bet slip says Couldn't connect · Retry.

On your first visit, the app is still making your guest account and its starting credits. Wait a moment. Your pick goes through as soon as the account is ready. If you've been here before, the button reads Connecting… instead.

Part of the app, such as Rewards, My bets or the Wallet, didn't download. Tap it to try again. If that fails too, check your connection and reload the page.

A new version of Basement is live. Tap the pill to load it, or carry on and it goes away after a few seconds. Basement never reloads the page by itself for this. With a mouse it reads Click to refresh.

Sound starts off. Tap Tap for sound on the card (Click for sound with a mouse), or the speaker on the right side, and Basement remembers your choice. On a computer, M turns sound on and off. On an iPhone, Basement then tries to play through the silent switch. If it's still quiet, check the volume, and check Sound in Rewards.

Picks

The round went live before your pick reached the server, so it wasn't placed and nothing was taken. Picks lock just before GO. The next round is already open.

The round had only just been offered and the server wasn't taking picks on it yet. Basement already tried once more for you, so nothing was placed. Tap Bet again.

You chose a side but the round locked before you tapped Bet. The app moves your choice to the next round if that fighter is in it, so tap Bet again to place it. The name and the word for a round change with the arena.

One account can hold up to 10 picks in a round. This only comes up when you pick from several tabs or devices, since the app takes one pick per round on each screen. Your picks so far all stand.

Each round has a limit on how much it can pay out in total, and your pick would go over it. A smaller amount may still fit.

B3 picks are limited by what the house can cover across every open round. Try a smaller amount, or use play credits.

The amount is more than your balance, or under the minimum of 10. Choose another amount. If you're out of play credits, the bet strip offers your daily refill or shows when it's ready. With B3 the message is Not enough B3, and the strip offers Bet with play credits.

Your pick wasn't placed, usually because the connection dropped. Tap Bet to try again. When the app can't tell whether a pick went through, it asks the server before saying anything, so a pick is never placed twice.

Drops

Drops only work while the match is live. The clock counts down to GO.

The match has finished or hasn't started yet. Drops open again when the next one goes live.

Drops close 3 seconds before a match's time limit, and when the match ends. Nothing was taken.

You've thrown your 2 Drops for this round. You can throw more in the next one.

The round has reached its limit of 8 Drops, or you've used your 2. A refused Drop is refunded straight away.

The match ended before your Drop landed, so you get back what it cost, or your free Drop. The Drop's name and price change with the arena and currency.

The app lost touch with the server mid-tap. Tapping again repeats the same Drop, and it's never charged twice.

On a computer

You pressed Enter or Space on a real-B3 bet. No key places a B3 bet unless you allow it, so nothing was placed. Click Bet to place it, or press ? and turn on the switch at the bottom of the Keyboard panel to let Enter place B3 bets too. See keyboard shortcuts.

D only throws Drops while you're playing with play credits, and only while a match is live. With B3, every Drop takes a click on Drop, even a free one.

That's how the desk works. A result stays on stage until you move on yourself. Press J for the next arena, or click Bets open on in the bet slip, or press N, to go where picks are open.

The keyboard stays out of the way while you're typing in a field or holding ⌘, Ctrl or Alt. While the reactions are open, the number keys send reactions. And the full set of keys only works in the desk layout, from 1276 pixels wide or 1000 on a landscape screen. See keyboard shortcuts.

Signing in

It comes from Basement with the subject "Your Basement sign-in code". Check spam and promotions, and that you typed your email right. After 30 seconds you can tap Resend; within 5 minutes that sends the same code again. Or sign in with Google or a passkey instead.

Each code allows 3 tries. Check the 6 digits and type them again, or tap Send a new code once they're used up.

A code works for 5 minutes. Tap Send a new code.

Lots of codes went to this email or from this network. Complete the quick check that appears, and the code goes out.

Too many codes went to this email today from browsers that have never signed in to it. A browser you've signed in on before still gets codes. Otherwise use a passkey or Google if the message names them, or wait.

Many people on the same Wi-Fi or mobile network are signing in at once. Wait a minute and try again.

The email didn't go out. Try again shortly, or use a passkey or Google if the message names them.

Inside Farcaster, the Base App and the X, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram or Line in-app browsers, only the email code works. Tap Open Basement in your browser to use Google or a passkey. On an iPhone's Home Screen app, Google isn't offered yet.

This browser still holds a sign-in from the old B3 Global Account, and that account can't become yours here: it holds B3, or you already have an account from another device. If that older account had B3 or history you want to keep, contact us. Otherwise tap Sign out of this device: the browser starts again as a guest and you can sign in. See Sign in.

A sign-in ends 30 days after it began, or after 30 days without a visit. Sign in again and your balance and history are where you left them.

Sign out everywhere or This wasn't me in Account & security, or removing a passkey, signs your account out on your other devices. Each browser starts again as a guest. Sign in to get back to your account. See Sign in.

Sign in lists the rest of the sign-in messages.

Deposits and withdrawals

A deposit hasn't shown up

Most deposits are ready to play within a minute. If yours isn't, check these in order.

Basement only works with B3 on Base. B3 sent on any other network doesn't reach your Basement balance. Report it with the transaction link; Basement can't promise to get it back.

B3 moves from your Basement address into your balance once at least 5,000 B3 is there. The deposit screen shows what's waiting, for example "2,400 B3 at your address". After 7 days, 250 B3 or more moves anyway when network fees are low. Less than 250 B3 stays until more arrives. After 5 minutes the deposit may also say "Taking longer than usual … moves over by itself. Nothing to do." For an amount under 5,000 B3 that isn't right yet: it waits as described here.

Only B3 sent to your own Basement address, shown under Deposit, is credited to you. Check the address in your exchange or wallet's history against it.

A plain transfer to the vault credits nobody and can't be recovered. Only your Basement address, or Send from in the app, credits your balance. See Stay safe.

Large deposits, 250,000 B3 or more on their own or with your other recent ones, wait until Base marks their block as safe. That usually takes under 10 minutes.

After 5 minutes the deposit screen says so. If you sent 5,000 B3 or more, it's at your Basement address and moves over by itself, so there's nothing to do. If it still isn't in your balance after an hour, report it with the Basescan link from the deposit. If you sent less, the note is wrong: your B3 waits at your address for more to arrive. See I sent less than 5,000 B3 above.

You used Send from, which pays its own network fee in ETH on Base. Add a little ETH on Base to that wallet, or copy your address and send from an exchange or another wallet.

You used Send from with a wallet that can only make a plain transfer, so the B3 would go to your Basement address and wait for the 5,000 B3 minimum. Send at least 5,000 B3, or copy your address and send from an exchange or another wallet.

Withdrawals

Withdrawals go only to addresses you add, and a new one waits at least 2 hours before it opens. See Withdraw B3.

The wallet shows when it opens. The wait starts once Basement has emailed you about it, and runs 2 hours to 3 days depending on how you confirmed it. A security change on your account in the last day can push it later.

You pasted the vault, or another address Basement uses. Add an exchange deposit address or a wallet you control instead.

You pasted the address you deposit to. A withdrawal has to go somewhere outside Basement: an exchange deposit address or a wallet you control.

Deposited B3 has to be played once before it can be withdrawn. Each B3 pick or paid Drop frees up as much as it stakes, win or lose. Winnings are never locked. The number shows what's left.

The smallest withdrawal is 1,000 B3 today.

Each account can withdraw up to 50,000 B3 in any 24 hours today. Each withdrawal counts against the limit for 24 hours, which is why the wallet says Your limit refills over 24 hours.

Above 25,000 B3, a withdrawal needs your passkey or an emailed code, unless you signed in with one of those in the last 10 minutes. The check names the amount and the address. Confirm it, and the withdrawal goes on.

Withdrawals were locked from Account & security, or by "This wasn't me". Turning them back on takes a check, then 24 hours. See Account and security.

Basement froze the account, usually after a report that someone else got in. Contact us.

Your withdrawal is waiting its turn, or waiting for the vault's daily allowance to refill. It goes out as soon as there's room. While it says In line you can tap Cancel, and the B3 is back in your balance.

An account can have 2 withdrawals in line at once. Wait for one to send, or cancel one.

The withdrawal didn't go out, so its B3 came back to your balance. This happens when it fails, when something other than the daily allowance holds it up for 24 hours, or when the address it was going to was removed or withdrawals were locked before it was sent.

Basement pauses B3 when a safety check needs a closer look. Your balance stays as it is, and play credits keep working. Withdrawals may show Withdrawals are paused for a moment. Your balance is safe. until the pause ends.

Real B3 play isn't offered where you are right now, but you can still take your B3 out. See Availability.

Withdrawals are blocked only in a short list of sanctioned places. See Availability.

Replays

A replay opens once the round has a result. Watch it live, or come back when it's over.

That arena's game has been updated since the round was played, and replays only run on the current version. You can still check the round's lock against its seed. See Provably fair.

Your browser re-ran the round and didn't reach the same result, so the app won't show a different ending. Report it with the arena and round number.

The round's details didn't load. Check your connection and open the replay again.
