Meet the crew
The 15 voxel characters who play every Basement match. Why form never changes the odds, how crew stats are counted and how to follow a fighter.
Every Basement match is played by the same 15 voxel characters, the crew. Each one keeps their name and look across all six games, and none of it changes the odds. In the app's own words, "Every round starts even. Form is for bragging."

Why form doesn't change the odds
A crew member's identity is cosmetic. Who plays in a round is public and comes from the game and round number alone. The round's seed then deals out everything that matters, like grid positions, spawns, roles and fighting styles, so a character on a hot streak has exactly the same chance as one who hasn't won all day.
Colors follow lineup position too: red, blue, yellow, green, purple and orange, in that order. The same character can be red one round and blue the next. How rounds stay provably fair covers the seed in detail.
Crew form
Form is counted from settled rounds only, so voids don't count. In Turf War, everyone in a squad shares its result. For each crew member, Basement tracks:
- wins and losses in each game
- par, the wins a fair share would have given them (1 in 2 rounds in a duel, 1 in 6 in Rush Hour)
- a streak across all games, shown once it reaches 3 wins in a row
- their best game, where they've beaten par by the most over at least 3 rounds
- their last 8 results, newest first
You can see it in a few places. Press and hold a side in the strip at the bottom of the card, where you pick, to open that character's sheet. Once you've picked, a form line like "Hanzo · 12–9 in Skyball" appears over the sides if that character has a record in the game, and tapping it opens the sheet too. After a round, tapping a face on the scoreboard opens it.
On a computer, rest the mouse on any face, in the arenas rail, on the scoreboard or in the bet slip. After a moment a small card shows the fighter's record in that game, with Follow and Profile, which opens the full sheet.

The Leaderboard's Crew tab ranks everyone under "Wins vs the odds". Hot streaks come first, then wins above par, shown as "+5" or "−2". Tap a row for the full sheet. More on boards is in leaderboards.

Follow a fighter
You follow crew members, not other players. There are three places to do it:
- On the result screen, under the winner, as "Follow Toxic" with that winner's name. It shows after your own win or when you didn't pick, and never after a loss.
- The Follow button on a character sheet.
- The Follow button on a fighter card, on a computer.
Once you follow, the button reads Following, then shrinks to a heart. Tap the heart to unfollow. A followed fighter's rounds move up your feed.
With notifications on, a follow can also ping you, such as "Toxic is up in Skyball" with "Starts in about a minute". That only happens when you haven't opened Basement for 18 hours, between 10:00 and 21:00 your time, and at most once a day. It counts toward the limit of two notifications a day. Tapping it opens that round with its picker ready and a heart on Toxic. Nothing is picked for you. See notifications to turn them on or off.
